About me
I’m Jackie Bolduan, a lifelong facilitator of conversations and fellow navigator of death, dying, and mortality. I am a Going with Grace trained End of Life Doula in the Washington, D.C. area. I’m also finishing up a Ph.D. in American Studies at The George Washington University. I am also a member of the DC Death Collective.
In my past, I’ve been a labor organizer, a tutor, a management consultant, a barista, a server, and curriculum designer. I live in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with my partner James and our dog, Millie.
I believe we all deserve to have access to the tools to plan for, have conversations about, and build support circles around our shared mortality. We are all going to die and that’s something I believe can deepen our experience of being alive and build compassion and solidarity.
I also know that being alive can bring us challenges that don’t mean death, but a change in how we are used to living. Chronic illness, a new diagnosis, or a change in our physical or mental abilities can ask us to face the mortality of our bodies when we weren’t ready to.
I offer a variety of services related to end of life planning and community education and awareness around death, dying, and mortality.
I look forward to connecting with you ✴
